...[T]he less we all change our world, the more we can all enjoy it. - Polartec

Do you agree?
the less I change the world. the more will there be for you to enjoy. the less i consume, the less copper i take out of mines, the less fertiliser i contribute the usage of, the more clean water will there be for others. the sentence seems true. right now i can't think of how it is not. but there are so many people who disagree! or have counter arguments. please help me and bring them on, so I can practice.
by the way, i am taking a course in environmental ethics, starting thursday and i have already started reading one of our books on the syllabus called Meeting with the Archdruid by John McPhee (I have a feeling he is famous). I started reading it this afternoon, it has already raised some interesting, but hard questions, such as if there is a e.g. copper in a national park, if it is on the other side of the mountain, why does it matter, why can't you just take out the copper (and leave a gargantuan whole in the ground) since you can't see it from the scenic national park... is that right? out of sight out of mind?
so that is what is in my life right now. i will most likely come back to it over the next months.
