pochina poesia

All my friends tell me that CNN and BBC´s coverage of the crisis is exagerated, and that at least in Beirut things are calmer than they seem on telly. One of my Israeli friends is in Europe at the moment. But her city was bombed today.

Non è cosi bello...
Non so cosa dovrei pensare, credere, concepire.
Cosa dovrei fare.
Essere tranquillo mi sembra faticoso, lifesucking, sono in un grande bubble, dove vivo...inutile?
Nella naivita?

Cogli guanciali sopra, sotto e vicino.
Si, sono fortunata, ma quale responsibilità viene allo stesso tempo? Un ubbligo morale, no?
Si, sono inutile qui
...ma dove? non lo sono?
Negli alberi?

it is not that nice,
dont know what i should think, believe, conceive (?)
what i should do
be calm seems tiring, lifesucking,
i am in a big bubble, where i live.. futile?
in the naivity?

with pillows above, below and around (near)
yes i am lucky but what comes with that? a moral responsibility, no?
yes i am futile (useless) here,
..but where? am i not?
in the the trees?

I dont like it as much in english. besides, it is probably not grammatically correct, in neither language. much better in italian. actually, poems are not to be translated, dont you know? :)

A deconstructionist would say that meaning is independent of the author - therefore is doesn't matter if it is translated.
